Oyo state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Bimbo Kolade, has obtained nomination form to contest for Oyo Central Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The youth advocate will battle Hon Temitope Sugar, who also collected nomination form, a few days ago at the primary election.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Kolade said his supporters purchased the form on his behalf.
“It is with profound gratitude and great humility, that I accept this nomination form, purchased on my behalf by supportive people like YOU, to enable me to pursue my dream, as an aspirant for the Oyo Central Senatorial District.
“This act of love from you all greatly encourages me and strengthens my commitment to do things differently when I become your Senator in 2019. ”
Recall that Governor Abiola Ajimobi had asked all his cabinet members vying to contest elective positions to resign their appointments. A member of Bimbo Kolade campaign organization who doesn’t want his name in public told insideoyo.com that the honourable commissioner may tender resignation letter tomorrow or before the weekends.
