The committee report on how some chairmanship nominees, who were declared ‘unappointable’ and another who was not screened but inaugurated by Governor Abiola Ajimobi-led administration, is ready.
According to an impeccable source, the report may be tendered and read today, Thursday 4th May, 2017.
Many people are interested in the report. Observers, who had besieged the Assembly complex before plenary commenced last week Tuesday, went home, disappointed, when they saw that the report was not on the order paper.
The investigation and report were necessitated by the inauguration of the trio of Messrs Mudasiru Agbaje (Irepo LG), Taiwo Adeleke (Asabari LCDA) and Oladeji Abiodun (Lagelu West LCDA), instead of Akeem Aransi.
Inside Oyo had reported how the duo of Agbaje and Adeleke were inaugurated by Ajimobi and received with fanfare into their various council areas by their supporters.
Tragedy was also averted when both Oladeji (who was never screened by the House but was inaugurated) and Aransi (who was screened but not inaugurated) resumed office the next day, at the headquarters of Lagelu West LCDA, Akobo, with their supporters.

A source told InsideOyo.com that it took the intervention of the Oyo State Commissioner of Police who invited them. The Police boss was said to have contacted the House for clarification.
The state police command and the State Security Service (DSS) also waded in, to ensure peace and tranquility in the council as there were signs of impending breakdown of law and order.
Sources revealed that top government officials who were invited for questioning denied involvement in the inauguration of the ‘unfit’ nominees. One of them, sources said, dismissed the photo and video exclusively published by Inside Oyo as a ‘media hype’.
Sources further disclosed that career officers, who had earlier been invited, confirmed that the trio were inaugurated, adding that “they disclosed that they were directed to handover official properties to the affected nominees.”
