Dr Awoyele expressed, “We believe that this initiative will strengthen the bond between veterinarians and animal owners in our community, ultimately elevating the standard of veterinary care in the state”

Providing operational insights, the General Secretary of APVMP Oyo state branch, Dr Olubayo Olumide, elaborated on the functionalities and benefits of the “Find a Vet. Oyo” feature.

Dr Olumide highlighted, “The website will serve as the face of the association, enhancing visibility and facilitating contact with animal owners and membership interactions. Additionally, pet owners and livestock farmers will have the convenience of searching for veterinary doctors in Oyo state, thus promoting accessibility to quality veterinary care.”

Explaining how to use the newly launched website feature, Dr Olumide stated “Pet owners and livestock farmers can benefit from the newly launched “Find a Vet. Oyo” feature by visiting APVMP Oyo state branch website, www.privatevetsoyo.com.ng, then click on the area where you see the question: Do you need a vet. doctor nearby? Select the specialisation of the veterinary doctor you are in need of based on the type of animal you rear. You’ll also need to indicate your area or location so that details of veterinary doctors close to you can be displayed.” The veterinary doctors whose details are on the website are registered members of APVMP Oyo state branch, licensed by the Veterinary Council of Nigeria.

Reacting to the launched website feature, the Chairman of NVMA Oyo state branch, Dr. John Famoyin shared, “This new feature is like a breath of fresh air for our community, bringing us closer together in the world of veterinary care.”

Also commenting on the new development, the former President of APVMP Oyo state branch, Dr Biodun Ogunbeku enthusiastically stated, “It’s about time we embrace this digital era in veterinary services, making it easier for animal owners to find the care they need.”

In his remark, the Chairman, Board of Advisers NVMA Oyo state branch, Dr Stephen Adeyemi expressed, “I can already see the positive impact this feature will have on our profession and the animal owners. Exciting times are ahead!”

Members of APVMP Oyo state branch were appreciated for their contributions to the progress of the association and encouraged to make good use of the association’s website to promote veterinary profession and their practice.
