The Oyo chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, submitted two lists of harmonised members of the state executive, InsideOyo.com reports
The extraordinary national caretaker and convention committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is at crossroads over two lists of state executive submitted to it for Oyo State chapter.
While the October 30 congress produced a former commissioner Ajiboye Omodewu and Mrs Tinuade Adigun as chairman woman leader respectively, the list submitted by the outgoing state chairman Chief Akin Oke has Chief Abu Gbadamosi and Mrs Omobola Odekunbi as chairman and woman leader, it was learnt.
According to Newspeakonline, it was gathered that the two lists have the same names for 85 per cent of the positions. The two lists also complied with the zoning arrangement.
This means that even in positions such as chairman and woman leader, among others which have different candidates presented, the different candidates are from the same zone to which the positions were zoned as generally agreed by leaders and members.
It is not clear if the national secretariat will adopt one or find a way to harmonize the two lists or call for a fresh congress.
The crisis has torn the party into two with leaders queuing behind the candidates produced by each divide.
