Afeez highlighted Afeez-Adio’s qualifications and commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) cause.

Addressing the media, the group emphasized the critical role that media plays in shaping Nigerian democracy and advocating for the betterment of underprivileged citizens.

“We find it imperative to address you today as an important part of the nation, as it is an undeniable fact that the media has played and will continue to play a vital role towards the repositioning of Nigerian democracy, especially in the advocacy for good governance for the benefit of downtrodden Nigerians,” they stated.

The group also expressed its alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.

“We wish to add our voice to the struggle for the actualization of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which is centered on uplifting the welfare and wellbeing of poor Nigerians,” they affirmed.

While also quoting President Tinubu’s demonstrated ability to appoint competent individuals, the group commended his track record of selecting capable leaders.

“You will recall that in various fora, during the campaign period and other spheres of his life, Mr. President has exhibited his ability to appoint round pegs in round holes.

“As President is building up to constitute the boards for Federal Agencies, departments and appointments of heads of these bodies; we wish to utilize this precious medium to present an experienced and faithful Nigerian who is a very hardworking member of the All Progressives Congress and has worked vehemently for the victory of the party. He has also served the country in various capacities, he is no other person but ‘HON. ASHIMIU AFEEZ-ADIO,'” the group added.

Speaking of Afeez-Adio’s contributions, the group said, “He has contributed to the growth and prosperity of this nation through his countless fiscal interventions to the less privileged Nigerians in his LGA, Federal Constituency and State.

The Union expressed their belief in Afeez-Adio’s potential as an asset to the federal government, stating, “With his wealth of experience in the private sector as an employer of labor and a general consultant, we strongly believe that Hon. Ashimiu Afeez-Adio will no doubt remain an asset to the Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government.”
