A Federal Commissioner at the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission and a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Matters in Oyo State, Hon Bimbo Kolade has posited that there are some forces in the Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC who are working against the interest of the party from within to frustrate the on-going reconciliation in the party.
He expressed this concern on Saturday while responding to questions from Aanuoluwapo Omorinde on BOTTOM LINE, a weekly political programme on IBR 92.5fm Ibadan.
He said “if you are coming back to our party, it behoves you to come in peace to rebuild the wall that is cracked. We know that there is a crack in Oyo APC but don’t come and destroy the remaining wall”.
On the agitation of some people against former Governor Alao-Akala leading the party, the former Commissioner regretted that some Politicians do not know the ethics of the progressive party.
He said “former Governor Alao-Akala is a member of the APC. Within the fold today, God has blessed him. As it is today, he is the Most qualified. We know ourselves”
Affirming the interest of Bola Tinubu in Oyo APC, he dismissed the insinuation that the interest of the acclaimed National Leader of the APC is causing ripples in the party.
“Let me tell you one thing, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu is a one master game player. He knows the right button to press per time. He is the national Leader of the party and everyone has come to terms with that fact.
“Irrespective of our various interests, I believe we can all achieve our aims come 2023”.
Ahead of the 2023 elections, Kolade said nobody in Oyo will sit down and foist any Candidate on the party at any level.
