The crisis within the Oyo state chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) appeared to have been finally settled as Unity Forum, a breakway faction of the ruling All Progressives Congress has settled for Alhaji Hameed Ayinla as the chairman of the party.
Hameed Ayinla was presented by the Unity Forum wing of the Oyo ADC as part of the reconciliation strategy agreed upon by the leaders of the party.
Recall that insideOYO.com had earlier reported how a faction in the Oyo ADC held a congress which the Unity Forum regarded as null and void due to their inability to present full representation.
It took the intervention of the National leader of the party, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the party National Working Committee to resolve the crisis which threatened the party.
InsideOYO.com gathered that part of the conditions given to Unity Forum is to pick the party chairman from the Oke Ogun Area of the state. Alhaji Hammed Ayinla hails from Igbeti in Olorunsogo local government area.
