The National President of Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys Association (LAGSOBA), Agugu, Ibadan, Prof. Olufemi Omisore has congratulated the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Mr. Bayo Adelabu on his emergence as the party’s flagbearer ahead of the 2019 elections.
Lagelite Adelabu, a Grand Distinguished Alumnus of the school is the Chairman, School Governing Board (SGB) of the school.
In his congratulatory message, Prof. Omisore also a Grand Distinguished alumnus, on behalf of the National Executive Council and the entire alumni “heartily congratulates our School Governing Board Chairman, Grand Distinguished Lagelite Chief Adebayo Adekola Adelabu, FCA, FCIB on
his election as the APC’s Gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming 2019 election.”
Omisore, according to a press statement signed by the LAGSOBA Secretary, Distinguished Lagelite Wale Adeoye stated further: ”to us at Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, a golden fish has no hiding place as your sterling qualities, experience and contributions to the development of our Alma Mater are testaments to your kind of person. The party has chosen wisely and we are confident that by the grace of God Almighty, Adebayo Adekola Adelabu shall be elected by the good people of Oyo State in the 2019 Governorship Election as the next Governor of the Pacesetter State.
“We congratulate you, the Governor of Oyo State, Grand Distinguished Lagelite Senator Abiola Ajimobi and the entire members of your great party for the confidence reposed in you to lead the party to the poll in the 2019 Governorship Election. It is our wish therefore that the Almighty God shall make you victorious at the poll.
“Congratulations, our Chairman. It is simply a God’s own project. Semper Optimum, always the best,” Omisore added.
In the same vein, the 1994 Set of the school under its Chairman, Alhaji Misbaudeen Ademola Lawal described Bayo Adelabu as a worthy ambassador of the school.
A letter signed by Alhaji Lawal and the set’s Secretary, Lagelite Olusola Ogunmodede commended their senior on his groundbreaking election as the Governorship Candidate of his party.
According to them, “the news of your emergence as the party candidate was a very good one and another rare gift to us all at LAGSOBA level, as much as it is a deserving birthday gift to you personally.
“Nothing good come cheap, as we know that this success didn’t just come but as a result of your resilience, hardwork and selfless service to the people, wherever your paths have crossed. The testimonies are spread all over the places for eyes to see. You are indeed a primus inter pares whose giant strides in private service are so legendary and pro-masses.
“This is just the beginning of your journey to Oyo State Government House, and we are solidly behind you with our full support in number and in substance. We are so very sure that, this is a God’s project and He will perfect His works on you. As a set, we are pledging our support to a joint LAGSOBA project, and we believe that all Lagelites are solidly behind you, as God helps us.
