The governorship candidate of African Democratic Party in Oyo State, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, says he is confident that he will be the governor-elect by March 9, the rescheduled date for the gubernatorial elections.
The ADC candidate stated this on Monday in an interview with The PUNCH in Ibadan.
He also expressed confident that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will lose the gubernatorial election as well as the three senatorial seats in the state.
Governor Abiola Ajimbi is one of the candidates vying to clinch one of the senatorial seat.
Explaining the reasons for the APC defeat in the state, Lanlehin said there is hunger in the land and the people are tired of the government.
“The incumbency of the APC is negative. There is so much hunger and poverty in the land. Oyo people are not happy. The government is just embarking on white elephant. For many months, schools are closed down.
“They will lose the elections and the ADC will win in all the senatorial districts in the state. And come March 9, 2019, I will be the governor-elect of Oyo State,” he told The PUNCH.
