Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (OHA) has formally declared his governorship ambition under the banner of AD ahead of 2019 general election in Oyo state.
Engr Alao joined other gubernatorial candidates vying to take over from Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the APC in May 29, 2019.
In a statement issued in Ibadan on Saturday by his Director of Media and Publicity, Collins Oyedokun, the Oman based Structural Engineer will be contesting on the platform of Alliance for Democracy.
OHA, who visited the party secretariat at Yemetu, Ibadan on Wednesday, 28th February, 2018 to interact with the party executives on his plan for the state, reiterated the need to redeem the pacesetter status of Oyo State.
“My aspiration is born out of total commitment to the development of Oyo State. We have had enough of failed promises and people who can not lead their homes ruling our dear state. My ambition on the platform of this party is an home coming and we must do all it takes within the ambit of the law to ensure this party is victorious at the poll. ” The statement read.
Oyedele Hakeem Alao is a Structural Engineer with a career in the oil and gas industry spanning more than 20 years. His posters have flooded the streets of Ibadan and other major cities in recent weeks and he is believed to be one of the favourites in the 2019 governorship election in Oyo State.
