The chairman of Oorelope Local Government, Igboho, Honourable Akeem Raheem, has promised to improve the standard of education in the primary schools in the local government area.
He maintained that the local government will complement the efforts of the Governor Seyi Makinde administration in the education sector by improving learning environment and providing necessary facilities.
Raheem, who stated this during visits to Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary Schools 1& 2, Modeke, Igboho; Migrant Primary Schools Mafowoku, Modeke, Igboho; Adimula Primary School, Molaba, Ago Igi-Isubu and the Baptist Central Primary School, Oke-Afin, Igboho.
Others were the Local Authority Primary Schools 1 & 2, Ebedi; Baptist Primary School, Ona Ago, Modeke and the Community Primary School, Oke Akasa, Modeke, Igboho said his administration would turn around the situation of the primary schools.
The chairman said: “We embarked on visits to some primary schools to know their challenges and chart solutions to the challenges.
“We did this in order to find areas where we can complement the efforts of our governor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, in the government’s effort to improve the standard of education in the state.
“As an administration, we will do everything to ensure the betterment of our education system.”
The local government chairman was accompanied by members of the legislative arm of government as well as officials of the local government.
Responding to the chairman’s visit, the Headmaster of ADS Primary School, Modeke, Igboho, Mr. Waheed Bamimore Adeola, appreciated the chairman for the visits to his school, stating that the move was unprecedented since he joined the service 33 years ago.
He added that Hon. Raheem has shown that he is toeing the path taken by Governor Makinde, which has resulted in massive development of education infrastructure and improvement of the standard of education in the state.
