The Chairman of Olorunsogo Local Government area of Oyo state, Hon Qozeem Olayanju has showered praises on the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, for what he described as his remarkable and positive impact during his tenure as Chairman of the Nigerian Conference of Speakers (NCS).
In a statement made available to journalists, the council boss commended Ogundoyin’s visionary leadership, noting that his stewardship at the helm of the Conference brought renewed relevance, cohesion and strength to state legislatures across the federation.
According to Olayanju who was a former lawmaker in the Oyo state house of assembly, the Speaker demonstrated uncommon dedication to legislative independence, institutional reforms and collaboration among Speakers of State Houses of Assembly, thereby deepening democratic governance at the sub-national level.
He particularly applauded Ogundoyin’s advocacy for constitutional reforms, capacity building initiatives for lawmakers and legislative staff, as well as his commitment to strengthening inter-governmental relations between state legislatures and other arms of government.
“Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin’s tenure as Chairman of the Nigerian Conference of Speakers has left a lasting legacy. His leadership not only elevated the profile of Oyo State on the national stage but also strengthened democratic institutions across Nigeria,” the chairman stated.
The Olorunsogo LG helmsman further described the Oyo Speaker as a focused, progressive and bridge-building leader whose tenure was marked by unity, inclusiveness and strategic engagement with key stakeholders.
