How Amotekun Disregarded Police Directives On Suspect - Police

The Oyo state police command said three more members of the armed robbers that robbed a First Bank branch in Okeho, Oyo State have been arrested.

The Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Olugbenga Fadeyi told The Nation on Tuesday that the three were arrested with the cooperation of local hunters, vigilante and the entire members of the community.

According to The Nation, the latest arrest brings to five, the number of members of the gang that are now cooling their heels in police custody.

Fadeyi said the five suspects are now being interrogated by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Ibadan, the state capital.

Last week, armed men attacked a bank in Okeho community, firing a dynamite to blow the security door open and gained access. Some of them were later apprehended while other escaped.
