The celebration of a year on the throne by His Highness Oba AbdulAzeez Olatunji Ayoola Ogelende 4th, Gbadewolu 1st as a beaded monarch turned out to be the gathering of galaxy of traditional rulers, arrays of the technocrats, captain of industry, religious leaders and sons and daughters of Okakaland who came from all walks of life to grace the historic occasion.
The town was agog as prominent people from the nooks and crannies of the state and beyond converged at Baptist Basic Primary school, Okaka to bequeath honour and glory on the monarch for his humility, openness, love, and generosity.
Speaking at the programme, the Ona Onibode of Ighoho, His Highness Oba Abdul Rashid Adetoyese Anikulapo Jayeola 3rd while speaking on behalf of traditional rulers in Oke Ogun land under the authority of His imperial majesty Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 3rd explained the significant of beaded crown to the people of the town which he said symbolizes unity love and progress because it is a deity on its own that should be worship.
Oba Anikulapo Jayeola eulogised Olokaka for his simplicity kindness and lofty ambition for the people of Okaka town and Oke Ogun area in general.
He said Olokaka is an embodiment of knowledge and fountain of wisdom who at all times seek for the promotion of peace unity and oneness of Oke-Ogun area.
The monarch called on Okaka indigenes to support Oba Abdul Azeez Ogelende in his effort to develop the town particularly on the construction of befitting fence to barricade the palace as a safety measure for him and his family.
Similarly, the Onilasa of Ilasamaja His Highness Oba Fatai Adesina Alani Aberejo and Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka Oloko lonigi 2 of Ilero described Olokaka as a source of inspiration to the council of Obas.
They both saluted his ingenuity and uncommon attitude which is worthy of emulation.
The Okaka community chairman Mr RA Ogundele and his predecessor Deacon SO Idowu in their various speech admonished Governor Makinde to come to the aid of the people of the area in his developmental programmes.
In their goodwill messages Alhaja Moriliat Busari nee Ajibike, Chief Itiade Odeyemi Mr Toye Makanjuola of National Examination Council( Neco )Abuja centre and Mr Adeleke Aderonmu Olalere who was a classmate to Olokaka praised the monarch for his leadership acumen and charged Okaka indigenes to throw their weight behind his quest to transform the town.
They also called on the government of the day to appoint credible sons and daughters of Okaka land into positions of authority in his administration.
While appreciating all those who graced the occasion, Oba Abdul l Azeez Ayoola Ogelende 4th expressed his profound gratitude to the Alaafin of Oyo for his support and promised to live up to expectation in the discharge of his duty.
He appreciated all traditional rulers in Oke-Ogun area and beyond for the support and immense contribution to the anniversary.
Oba Gbadewolu also thanked Okaka sons and daughters, Chiefs and well-wishers for their magnanimity in the course of being elevated as a beaded king.
