A non-partisan and voluntary organization of reputable young professionals of Ogbomoso origin, Ogbomoso Valiant Voice, has congratulated the newly appointed Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr. Sunday Oludare by President Muhammadu Buhari led-administration.
OVV’s congratulatory message was conveyed on Thursday, by the group’s founder, Mr. Oluwafemi Ojo, said, the appointment of Mr. Oludare Sunday, a notable indigene of Ogbomoso is a welcome idea, as Oludare, has the needed experience, intellectual capacity and exposure to turn things around in his new public assignment, describing him as a square peg in a square hole.
Oluwafemi speaking further, also expressed that with Oludare’s rich experience in multimedia journalism, telecommunications technology, governance and advocacy spanning over 25 years, there is no doubt that he will not deliver satisfactorily.
He used the medium to charge the new Minister, to always consult widely and make use of the abundant of talents in his home state in his new assignment as the Minister of Youths and Sports in the next level administration of President Buhari.
“Considering our peoples’ exposure, education, resourcefulness and passion for Nigeria, we encourage Mr. Oludare to take advantage of all these and put politics aside and tap into the abundance of our local talents across fields, for a common goal, which is the advancement of our state and Ogbomoso in particular”.
The OVV’s founder also enjoins other public office holders from Oyo State particularly from Ogbomoso axis, to unite together and move the state forward in regardless of their political affiliations and differences.
He said, “we appeal to all our politicians both elected and appointed from Ogbomoso, across different political parties, at all levels and arms of government to work together for the development of our ancient town and collaborate politically to move Ogbomoso forward.
“It is important that Mr. Oludare builds bridges across the state and collaborate effectively with different groups that have the interests of our people at heart. As a non-partisan organization, we are more than ready to support him and any other persons that have altruistic motives to advance our dear state forward”.
