Former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Babatunde Oduyoye, has said that the death of a former Inspector-General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, is a huge loss to Nigeria.
Oduyoye described Arase as a patriotic Nigerian, an outstanding personality and a gem with an abundant wealth of experience in the security sector.
Noting that his death was shocking and sad, Oduyoye condoled with his immediate family and the people of Edo State.
Oduyoye also expressed his condolences to Arase’s family in the police circle, including the Special Adviser on Security to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, CP Fatai Owoseni (rtd), who served as Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration at the Force Headquarters, while he was the Inspector-General.
The two-term Rep Member prayed to God to grant repose to the soul of the late Arase, while also granting his family the fortitude to bear his demise.
