Shooting stars football club of Ibadan defeated Giant Brillars on Sunday in their last home game in the Nigeria National League Campaign.
The Oluyole warriors who were eliminated last week from the Aiteo FA Cup in Ijebu Ode defeated their visitors 3 – 0 at the Adamasingba stadium in Ibadan, the state capital.
Omololu Waheed, Ahmed Rasheed and Olufemi Opeoluwa scored the goals in the First Half to claim all three points.
Omololu scored from a penalty kick a development which made Giant Brillars reduced to 10 after the referee gave a player red card for abusing the referee.
With this victory, the Oluyole warriors have qualified for the Super 8 which will enable them qualify for the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Insideoyo.com recalls that 3sc qualified for the Super 8 last season but were defeated in the campaign. A development which made them remain in the Nigeria National League this season.
