Chief Niyi Akintola (SAN) has withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Oyo State.
He said the delegates list has been tampered with adding that it is the beginning of the end for APC in Oyo state.
He said this while speaking with journalists in Ibadan, the state capital.
Akintola is one of the six aspirants vying for the ticket of the party.
Speaking, Akintola said he was pulling out of the primary because it was observed that the delegate list brought by the Committee from Abuja did not reflect the true names of delegates sent to the National Secretariat of the party.
He said: “I will not be participating in that primary.
“It has been screwed in favor of a particular aspirant and I will not be party to that charade.”
With the development, only five aspirants are left in the race.
They are Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Sen. Teslim Folarin, Engr. Hakeem Alao, Barr. Akeem Agbaje and Dr Azeez Adeduntan.
