Diverse views emerged on Friday across social media as Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, visited Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The visit was as a result of the quit notice he purportedly gave Fulanis in the area.

Igboho had last week visited Fulani settlement in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area where he gave them a seven-day ultimatum to leave the area.

He had accused the Fulani community in the area of masterminding abductions, killings, and other criminal activities in the area.

InsideOyo.com earlier reported how hundreds of youths and  crowd welcomed him at the Igangan Town Hall in a video.

He insisted that Seriki, the head of the Fulani, must leave the town because he has been identified as a security threat.

Below are reactions from Nigerians on social media about the visit:

New leaders are rising up in the SW. They are strong, fearless, radical & young. Names like Sunday Igboho, Olayomi Koiki and others come to mind. The SW has finally got a new set of champions & heroes. They believe in Oduduwa Republic. None can stand against them. I commend them.

You have been lamenting for protection from the Government for very long time. Govt did nothing. Sunday Igboho is out there doing what the government should do. But you're on Twitter him calling names. Any Yoruba persons speaking against Sunday Igboho is OMO ALE.

There's Sunday Igboho from Igboho, Oyo State today, if something is not quickly done about this herdsmen menace, there will be Sunday Ilesha, Sunday Akure, Sunday Iworoko, Sunday Abeokuta, Sunday Bariga who will rise up to protect their people from these criminal elements.

If the threat of Sunday Igboho and his face-off with the Oyo state govt is not quickly looked into……we may have a security challenge that will not augur well for SW. When it snowballs, people will blame Buhari for the problem.

Playing politics with security is a no-no!

Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde had on Wednesday in a state broadcast condemned the threat to evict the Fulani, while warning those behind the threat to desist or be ready to face the wrath of the law.

The new commissioner of Police in Oyo State, CP Ngozi Onadeko apparently referring to the quit notice in the statement said the police aligned themselves with the position of the governor and said the police were ready to ensure the adequate security of every law-abiding resident of the state.
