The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka has called on residents of the state and Nigerians in general to pray for a more peaceful and prosperous nation.
Ilaka in a new year message made available to insideoyo.com in Ibadan on Friday also urged Nigerians to observe the Covid-19 guidelines and stay safe as the second wave of the coronavirus disease approaches.
The Ladilu of Oyo also pray for a better and safer 2021 while wishing everyone happy new year.
The message read: “Wishing you and your family good health, happiness, success and prosperity in this new year.
“As we bid farewell to 2020, let’s all ruminate on all the lessons from its best part: the stories of our health care workers who stood on the frontlines and the bravery of our young people that challenged the status quo.
“Even as we celebrate with friends and family, I ask that we pray for a more peaceful and prosperous nation and ensure that we observe the COVID-19 guidelines and stay safe.
“We pray for a better and safer 2021.
Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year!”
