Engineer Muftau Open Salawu FNSE, has set agenda for the next administration stating that the next administration needs to work on the constitution to relief the federal government from the burdens in exclusive list and make local government more effective.

Open Salawu, who’s the Waziri Jari Nupe made this known in a new year statement made available to newsmen on Sunday.

The Babalaje of Ogbomosoland also promised to continue planting the remaining 6,655 Ogbomoso mango trees out of the 10,000 he earlier promised.

He said 2022 was a very challenging year in the history of Nigeria. He urged everyone to be committed to Nigeria project and elect good, quality people to represent the people.

He also advised everyone not to place ethnicity and religion sentiments above competencies.

The statement read: “I shall continue in planting the remaining 6,655 Ogbomoso mango trees out of the 10,000 proposed. I have planted 3345 mango tree across Ogbomoso and Environs.
“We are doing this to protect the unique Ogbomoso mango from going in to extinction and to give back to our community, must of the developments and expansion of the town resulting in cutting down the trees to give way for buildings and other infrastructures without recourse in planting replacement. Trees have several benefits and everyone should endeavour to have at least a tree in their compound or garden to benefit from this wonderful nature. Trees reduce stress of this modern life, it remove carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen, it can limit noise and be a sound barrier, it control effect of sun, rain and wind, must importantly trees protect the soil.

“The year 2022 was a very challenging year in the history of Nigeria, from the prolonged ASUU strike, the Security , Economic and depreciation of Naira, Poor Electricity supply, Climatic effect despite incessant warnings. The very important action of the next administration is to work on our constitution to relief the federal government from these burdens in exclusive list and make local government more effective.

“Let us all be committed to Nigeria project and elect good and quality people to represent us at all levels of governance. We should try not to place ethnicity and religion sentiments above Competencies and Character of those we are voting for. To friends and family, Warmest thoughts and best wishes for a Happy New Year.
