A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (OYORUWASSA), Engineer Najeem Omirinde, has felicitated with the people of Oyo State, particularly residents of Saki West, Saki East and ATISBO local government areas, on the occasion of the New Year 2026.
In a New Year message made available to newsmen, the aspirant for Saki West/Saki East/ATISBO Federal Constituency seat expressed gratitude to God for the successful completion of the past year and for the opportunity to witness a new one, urging the people to remain hopeful, united and committed to the progress of their communities.
He described the New Year as a period for reflection, renewed purpose and collective responsibility, calling on leaders and citizens alike to work together for sustainable development.
According to him, “The New Year presents us with another opportunity to strengthen our unity, renew our commitment to service and rededicate ourselves to the development of our communities. I felicitate with our people and pray that the year brings peace, progress and prosperity to every household.”
The former OYORUWASSA chairman also used the opportunity to commend the resilience of the people despite prevailing socio-economic challenges, noting that their perseverance remains a strong foundation for growth.
He emphasised the importance of people-centred leadership and inclusive governance, stressing that development can only be achieved when the welfare of the people is prioritised.
He further urged youths to remain constructive and forward-looking, while encouraging community leaders and stakeholders to continue to promote peace and cooperation across the constituency.
“As we move into this New Year, I urge our youths to stay focused and positive, and I appeal to all stakeholders to continue to foster peace and unity. Together, we can build communities that work for everyone,” he added.
