The National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS) southwest zone as ratify the appointment of Princess Aderonke Ramat Adedoja as the acting coordinator for the association.
The ratification was held in Ibadan the Oyo state capital of NANTs office during an enlarged meeting of the NANTS Southwest states.
The meeting was attended by representatives from EKITI, Osun,Ogun, Ondo state and host state Oyo.
Addressing the delegates at the enlarged meeting, the Chairman BOT of NANTs, Prince Haruna Yusuff stated that the association at the zone can only achieve progress when they work in one accord.
He added that henceforth no leader will be allowed to stay beyond the stipulated time in position of the association.
In her acceptance speech the Chairman of NANTS Oyo state Princess Aderonke Ramat Adedoja who also emerged as acting coordinator of Southwest states noted that the new team will work hard to achieve the vision of the founding fathers of the association.
On the issue of skyrocketing food prices Princess Ramat stated that the association will take the bull by the horn but become important for the Federal government to reconsidered its stand on pump price.
Others who spoke at the enlarged meeting including the NANTs coordinator Ekiti Chief Adesola Ogunsuyi and the Osun state Internal Auditor of NANTs Hon. Musa Akande stated that the other states will corporate with the new leadership of the zone.
The Iyaloja of Oyo Town Chief Khadijat Bakare, Babaloja of Oyo Chief Alade and Vice chairman Alh. Fatai Usman said the emergence of the new leadership will move the association from a sorry state to an enviable height.
