The acting Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has appointed Shina Olukolu as the new Commissioner of Police in Oyo state.
The appointment came about a week to the 2019 presidential elections.
In a statement seen by InsideOyo.com on Wednesday, the Police chief also approves the deployment of other 36 Command Commissioners of Police for the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
He was deployed from Gombe state.
The Inspector General of Police charges the AIGs and CPs to diligently and professionally discharge their duties according to the Laws, Rules and Regulations of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The posting and the redeployment of the affected Senior Police Officers is with immediate effect
