The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DAKA Foundation, Chief (Dr) Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu popularly known as KSO has felicitates Muslims as they celebrate the Eid Maulud.
Eid Maulud is an annual festival commemorating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad on the traditional date of 12 Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic Calendar.
He urged the Muslims to use the occasion of this year’s Eid Maulud to show love and affection to others.
Abidikugu who is the Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland in a statement on Friday said the Muslims should celebrate with modest and ensure peaceful co-existence
Abidikugu, a United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant expressed his happiness that this year’s Maulud come at a time that the country is witnessing peace and tranquility despite the harsh economy.
He called on the well to do in the society to help the less privileged saying they should demonstrate kindness to others.
According to the statement, “I felicitate the Muslims on this year’s occasion of Eid Maulud. As we celebrate, I call for peaceful co-existence and religious tolerance.
“I also called on the well to do in the society to help the less privileged. The people are suffering from the bad economy. So as a Muslim I urge you to put smiles on the faces of the poor during.this.festivity period.
“We thank that despite the hard economy our country is witnessing peace and tranquility. Let also use this holy day to pray for our leaders for them to be guided on the right way.
