The new Oyo state government-led by Engr Seyi Makinde on Thursday held inter-religious service at the State House in Ibadan, the state capital.
The service ushered in the new administration of Seyi Makinde and Aderemi Olaniyan.
In a post on social media seen by InsideOyo.com, Engr Makinde said his administration will act in fairly and with the fear of God.
The new governor said his government may make uncomfortable decisions but “we will try to fair”.
“An inter-religious service was held at the State House to usher in the new administration this morning.
“We may make decisions that are sometimes uncomfortable but we will try our best to always be just, fair and act with the fear of God,” Makinde says.
On Wednesday, Governor Makinde kicked off his administration with the appointment of Chief of Staff, Chief Bisi Ilaka and dissolution of boards and local government authorities.
Makinde also directed that the state and local government accounts should be frozen.
