As the train of the zonal town hall meetings of the governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde berths at Saki on Monday for the Oke-Ogun region of the State, the State government has disclosed that the governor will flag off the Saki-Ogbooro road and commission some projects under the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).
The State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun disclosed this on Sunday, saying that the events will be broadcast live by Agidigbo FM, JFM, Gravity FM while Aloore Online Radio of the State Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism will also transmit the programmes live.
Olatubosun called on the people of Oke-Ogun to come out en masse to meet the governor and discuss issues affecting the State and the Oke-Ogun, as the meeting will afford them the opportunity to exchange ideas and also allow the State administration to get feedbacks on its programmes, actions and policies.
“The event is an opportunity to meet the governor and exchange ideas about the activities, programmes and policies of the government, like I use to say, this is a government that always factor in the needs of the people as its policy standpoint, the people wanted local government election, it has been done and every local government now has its own Chairman, that is the first point of development at the rural areas.
“For the ease of following the event as it goes, our people from anywhere in the Oke-Ogun axis and everywhere in Oyo State can follow the live transmission on Agidigbo FM, JFM, Gravity FM and Aloore online Radio, we also call on the people of Oke-Ogun to come out and partake in the programme, as the governor will go straight to the hall after commissioning the OYSADA projects and flagging off the Saki-Ogbooro road.” he said.
