Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has been invited to the 2023 Goodluck Jonathan Foundation Democracy Dialogue billed to hold in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Thursday.
Governor Makinde, who will be represented at the event by his deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal, will be among the host of dignitaries at the dialogue with the topic “Breaking New Grounds in the Democracy-Development Nexus in Africa.”
The foundation, in a letter signed by its founder and chairman, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, noted that Makinde’s participation in the dialogue will enrich the conversation “towards generating a robust and explicit nexus between democracy and development in Africa.
The foundation lauded Governor Makinde for playing “a critical role in advancing democratic governance and development in the country.”
