Chief Akin Oke, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo State, has alleged that the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration have not done anything in the last seven months, except commissioning projects delivered by the the immediate past administration.
Oke stated this at a New Year get-together and 2019 activities review organised by the Oyo State chapter Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) at its secretariat in Iyaganku G.R.A, Ibadan.
The APC chairman noted that the present administration in the state have nothing to offer the masses, adding that it is a matter of time before people will start seeing the “true colour” of the people running the state.
“The Schools Ajimobi built is what they are commissioning; the roads he constructed is what they are lighting up. They haven’t done anything in almost eight months. They are commissioning all our projects,” Oke said.
Speaking on the dissolution of local key governments and local council development areas by the governor, the chairman said: “We are going to the battle lawfully and legally and we are going to win. We don’t want fight, not because we are timid but because we know that God’s time is the best.”
He urged the sacked council bosses to continue to pursue the legal option.
The chairman added that the the party performed better than most of the states in the country when it was at the helm of affairs in Oyo State.
Meanwhile, ALGON’s lawyer, Barr. Kunle Sobolaju has assured that the sacked chairmen will win all the pending cases before the court.
“This is a celebration of our imminent victory because what the governor has done is illegal and we are sure of victory,” he said.
