The Oyo State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has appealed to motorcyclists to adhere to one rider, one passenger policy of the present government in order to prevent avoidable accident.
The governor made the appeal when the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Oyo state chapter, paid a solidarity visit to Governor’s Office Agodi, Secretariat, Ibadan.
Governor makinde, who spoke through the Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan noted that obedience to the rule and regulation of one rider, one passenger was for the benefit of the riders and their passangers.
He assured ACOMORAN of continual support and lauded the body for its support to the present administration in the state.
State Chairman of the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, Mr Saheed Folahanmi expressed the readiness of his members to comply with the state government directives in moving Oyo State forward.
Mr Folahanmi said the association would always follow laid down rules guiding its operation.
