The newly appointed Governing Council of Michael Adeniyi koleoso, formerly known as The Oke-ogun Polytechnic Saki, led by Chairman Group Captain (Rtd) Dr. Bisi Ojebola, has begun a tour of the institution and community.
The Council visited the institution’s Central Administrative Complex and was warmly received by Rector Dr. Surv. S.A. Ajibola and Management.
According to a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday by the institution’s Public Relation Officer, Mr Samson Adebayo, the team paid a courtesy visit to the Okere of Sakiland, Oba Dr. Surv. Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi (Oyedepo III), who gave them a royal blessing and wished them success.
The Okere appealed to Governor Engr. Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde to aid the institution’s development.
The Council also visited Chief Issac Aderibigbe Koleoso (Odofin of Sakiland) to commiserate with the family of the late Babalaje of Sakiland, a key figure in the institution’s establishment.
Chief Koleoso pledged his support and wished the Council success.
The Governing Council concluded the tour by meeting with stakeholders and commencing its inaugural meeting.
The statement read: “The newly appointed Governing Council for has begun a familiarization tour of the institution. The Council, led by its Chairman, Group Captain (Rtd) Dr. Bisi Ojebola, started the tour/familiarization from the institution’s Central Administrative Complex, proceeded to Council Affairs and General Administration Unit was warmly received by the Management led by Rector, Dr. Surv. S.A. Ajibola on Tuesday, 29th July, 2025.
“The team extended its familiarization visit to His Royal Majesty, the Okere of Sakiland, Oba Dr. Surv. Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi (Oyedepo III) who gave the team a royal blessing and wish them a successful tenure.
“The kabiyesi bemoaned the state of development in the institution and made passionate appeal to His Excellency, Engr. Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde to come to the aid of the institution.
“The team, in recognition of the contributions of late Babalaje of Sakiland, Chief Michael Adeniyi koleoso on the establishment of the institution which prompted the Oyo State Government to immortalize the institution in the name of Michael Adeniyi Koleoso Polytechnic, Saki (MAK Poly, Saki) paid a courtesy visit to Chief Issac Aderibigbe Koleoso (Odofin of Sakiland) in order to commiserate with the family.
“In his response, Chief Issac Aderibigbe Koleoso promised the team of his unalloyed support and wish the council an unprecedented success.
“The Governing Council returned to the institution to meet with other stakeholders and to commence its inaugural meeting.”
