Ahead of the local government election, leaders and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Kajola local government area of Oyo state have endorsed a former lawmaker of the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon Akeem Mustapha for the Chairmanship race.
This was contained in a statement signed by the former lawmaker and made available to the newsmen on Saturday.
According to the statement some of the leaders that endorsed the former chairman on House Committee on Public Accounts, Finance and Appropriation were Alhaji O. K Salam, Alhaji Ali Oyedeji, Pa Okunade Adesina, Deacon Oguntade Sunday, Alhaji Biliaminu Kazeem.
Others were Alhaji Ogundijo Azeez, Alhaji Igbayilola Rasaq, Hon Olatunji Abiodun, Hon Oyediran Bolanle.
Also the Party Chairman in Kajola local government area, Hon Johnson Ojebiyi, Chairman of ward chairmen, Mr Azeez Raufu Olawale, PDP National Ex Officio, Mrs Bello Oluwakemi (Iya Ilero), Women leader, Mrs Gbolahan Folasade and others.
Meanwhile, Hon Akeem Mustapha has picked the People’s Democratic Party, PDP nomination and expression of interest forms for the Chairmanship race.
Mustapha had since filled and submitted the forms. He has been screened by the screening committee.
