The People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ibarapa North local government, has on, Friday flagged off its campaign for the local government election in Oyo state.
The flag off was done at the Igangan town hall in Igangan under the Adebare 2.0 mantra.
While speaking, the chairmanship candidate of the party and the chairman of local government area, Honourable Lateef Akorede promised to continue to deliver the Dividends of Democracy to the people of Ibarapa North local government.
Akorede noted that he will complement the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde under the Omituntun 2.0 mantra with his Adebare 2.0.
Akorede said under the Adebare 2.0, he will ensure the completion of many projects. He thanked members of the party and the good people of Ibarapa North for their support and prayers.
The events also witnessed the returning of some members Muraina Group back to the party. The members were led by Ganiyu Ogundeji.
Jebele Group from the Accord party joined the PDP, they were led by Fehintola Sola Francis.
Also some members of the NNPP decamped to PDP led by Ojedokun Nurudeen.
Present at the flag off were lawmakers representing Ibarapa North and Ibarapa Central Federal Constituency, Honourable Adepoju Adebayo; lawmaker represented Ibarapa North and Ibarapa Central State Constituency, Honourable Peter Ojedokun, Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Hon Ademola Ojo, former commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Non Funmilayo Orishadeyi, Oyo Senatorial PDP Senatorial Chairman, executive members of the PDP in Ibarapa North, members of the party and others.
