In a move to improve cohesiveness, Oyo State governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN), today met with some aggrieved aspirants on the platform of party.
He appealed to them to put behind whatever grievances might have arisen in the process of candidate nomination, but rather work assiduously for the success of the party at all positions, assuring that with eventual success in the coming polls, their labour won’t be in vain, as they’ll be accorded due recognition in the emerging government.
‘Damola Adeoye, Media Assistant to Senator Lanlehin, in a statement said the meeting which had in attendance aspirants to state and national assembly positions was a no holds barred session as aspirants were afforded opportunity to express themselves, and also proffer ways forward.
In his earlier remarks, ADC State Chairman, Alh (Dr) Hammed Ayinla appealed to aspirants to see the party’s success as paramount, and of utmost importance, assuring that with success at the polls, all interests would be taken care of.
Also in attendance were a party chieftain, Alh Fatai Ibikunle, members of the State Working Committee, which included State Vice Chairman, Rev Ezekiel Adeniran, State Secretary, Alh Wasiu Emiola, State Woman Leader, Chief (Mrs) Funmi Arulogun, and other party stakeholders from the 33 local governments of Oyo State.
