Former Governor of Oyo State and the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has said that he was aware of the anxiety that pervaded the atmosphere over the October 7th INEC’s deadline for the conduct of primaries.
High Chief Ladoja, according to a statement issued by his spokesman, Alhaji Lanre Latinwo stated that he is working round the clock to find lasting solutions to all the issues, Pacesetter news reports.
He therefore assured members that all anxieties would be addressed and resolved within the next few days.
Ladoja also called on all members ‘to please remain calm.’
InsideOYO.com gathered that there was tensed atmosphere at Premier hotel Ibadan on Sunday following disagreements on the choice of the gubernatorial candidate of the party.
The development led to the announcement of a national officer of ADC, Dr. Dele Ajadi as the Oyo state temporary gubernatorial candidate pending the amicable resolution of the impasse.
Checks further reveled that Dele Ajadi was not part of the 13 aspirants unveiled by the party. But a leader of the party told insideOYO.com that the party gave nomination and expression of interest forms to Dr Dele Ajadi to enable him emerge tentative gubernatorial candidate of the party.
Recall that insideOYO.com had earlier reported that sources within the party revealed that leaders of the party have settled for Senator Olufemi Lanleyin a development which some aspirants frowned at.
