Kolapo Kola-Daisi has offered his condolences to the family of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III following an announcement of his demise on Sunday.
In a statement made available through his official communications channels, the frontline senatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo South described the late monarch as a peaceful King whose reign will be greatly missed statewide.
It said, “I deeply commiserate with my people of Oyo state, the Oyo State Council of Obas, the immediate family and especially sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland, on the demise of the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III.
My days as a student at the Federal Government College, Ogbomoso, gave me a firsthand feel of Soun’s peaceful and colorful reign. He was firstclass by reign and by nature and the entire Yorubaland and the nation will miss him.
May his legacies remain celebrated and may Almighty Allah will grant repose to his soul.”
Soun Of Ogbomoso, who ascended the throne in 1973, was 95 years old when he passed on earlier today.
