Sen. Kola Balogun of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday celebrated tribunal victory for the election of Oyo South Senatorial District.
A three-man panel of the tribunal chaired by Justice Anthony Akpovi, with Justice Sambo Daka and Justice Chinyere Ani as members, unanimously upheld Balogun’s victory against former Oyo governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
In a video circulating on social media, Senator Balogun described the victory as hope for the people of Oyo state.
“God made this to be possible, what I have learnt about judgement, it was an erudite judgement, delivered in fairness and gives hope for the common man, it means a victory for democracy and the people of Oyo state.
“Last election was revolutionary, people are voting against arrogant, against government running away from good governance. If my opponent, the former governor wants to continue in combat mission, with God almighty we shall see who is going to win,” he said.
