The Karim Adeyemi Foundation (KAF), in partnership with E-Tutors Nigeria, has launched an innovative E-Learning Scholarship Programme to support public secondary school students preparing for national examinations such as WAEC and NECO.
The event, held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Ibadan, gathered partners, parents, teachers, and students, where over 40 beneficiaries were officially inducted as “KAF Scholars.”
Speaking at the launch, the President of the Karim Adeyemi Foundation, Mr. Abiodun Adeyemi, represented by Mr. Rotimi Osho, said the programme reflects the Foundation’s mission to break barriers and create opportunities for young people in education, health, and community empowerment.
“Through this programme, the Foundation has committed to covering the cost of monthly online science and IT classes. This is an investment in your future, and with it comes responsibility,” Adeyemi said.
“From today, you are not just secondary school students, you are KAF Scholars. This badge of excellence means you must rise to the responsibility of consistency, discipline, and determination.”
He urged the students to attend at least 70 per cent of their classes, warning that excuses such as lack of data or power supply must not deter them.
“Where there is determination, there is always a way,” he added.
Highlighting opportunities beyond the programme, Adeyemi noted that outstanding students could receive support to sit for international examinations such as SAT, GRE, and GMAT, giving them access to global scholarships.
“This is a pilot sponsorship,” he explained.
“Your dedication and success will determine whether we expand this programme to reach more students across Nigeria. The responsibility lies with you.”

Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of E-Tutors Nigeria, Mr. Adeniyi Ajayi, described the collaboration as a strategic step to raise the standard of education through technology.
“If you check the statistics, Oyo State is not doing very well in WAEC and NECO performance indexes. This initiative is designed to change that narrative,” Ajayi said.
“E-Tutors is not limited to Oyo State, it is a global brand. As long as there is internet, students across Nigeria can benefit. Our goal is simple: to make quality education accessible to every student, irrespective of their location.”
He noted that E-Tutors remains the first online platform in Nigeria to provide live interactive learning, allowing students to choose tutors, review profiles, and replay recorded sessions for revision.
“We are not here to compete with physical classrooms but to complement them,” Ajayi stressed.
“That is why we are also collaborating with state governments and urging their wider support.”
He added that the platform employs not only qualified professionals but tutors with proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with students.
Certificates were presented to more than 40 beneficiaries, including Orolakin Abisola from St. Louis Grammar School and Sonde Oladoyin from Loyola College, who expressed their gratitude.
Abisola said: “I never thought I would have access to online classes like this because of the cost. Now I feel encouraged that someone believes in me. I promise to give my best and make my school and family proud.”
Oladoyin added: “This opportunity has motivated me to study harder. Having access to quality tutors online means I can revise any time and ask questions freely. I know this will help me perform better in my WAEC.”
Parents also commended the initiative. Dr. Ganiyat Adebayo described it as life-changing
Her words: “My child has greatly benefited from previous Karim Adeyemi Foundation programmes. With this new scholarship, I believe more students will now have a fighting chance to excel, not just in exams but in life. It is a huge relief for parents like us who want the best but cannot always afford such platforms.”
The scholarship targets SS3 students in public schools preparing for WAEC 2026, with the broader aim of not only boosting exam performance but also nurturing a new generation of ambitious learners ready to compete globally.
