The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Kajola local government area of Oyo state has unveiled a former lawmaker of the Oyo state House of Assembly, Honorable Akeem Mustapha as the chairmanship candidate of the party ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
Mustapha also known as Mugaty was unveiled on Saturday, alongside the vice chairmanship candidate, Dr Adeniji Charles Robert and all the councillorship candidates.
The unveiling ceremony which took place in Ilero had in attendance stakeholders, leaders and members of the PDP in Kajola local government area.
While speaking with our correspondent shortly after the ceremony, Mustapha thanked stakeholders, leaders and members of the party for the trust they had in him.
He also thanked and commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his move towards ensuring the people get dividends of democracy.
He promised to replicate the good work of the Governor under the Omituntun 2.0 mantra to the people of Kajola local government area, if elected.
While urging all party members to support all candidates of the party in the election, he urged candidates not to put on garment of arrogance but rather show remorse to all.
Earlier, the chairman of the party in Kajola local government area, Chief Johnson Ojebiyi appreciated members of the party for turning out en masse for the meeting.
He urged members of the party to work hand in hand and ensure victory for all the party candidates in the election.
