Assistant coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Kabiru Alausa has disclosed that the team had a ‘shabby’ first half against homers -Akwa United, making them lose the game.
The homers had opened the goal account on 11 minutes through Friday Ubong while Alhassan Ibrahim’s hat-trick in the 28th, 36th and 44th minutes almost sealed victory for the Uyo boys until the Ibadan boys rallied back in the second half with goals from Moses James and Taiwo Shittu in the 58th and 90th minutes respectively, making the game ended 2-4 against the Akwa United.
Alausa was quoted on the club’s twitter handle- @Official3SC as saying: “We lost 2-4. We rallied late to reduce the tally despite the shabby first half! It was almost a good recovery. We did not lose hope and that was exactly what we told the boys at half time and that was what happened! We lost it gallantly.”
