The governorship aspirants of the Oyo state chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, have agreed to choose one person who will be the party’s candidate in the 2019 general elections.
This development, insideOYO.com gathered was reached today after the meeting which was held in Ibadan, the state capital.
Recall that insideOYO.com had earlier exclusively reported that the leaders of the party have agreed to use Senator Olufemi Lanlehin. But other governorship aspirants were not happy with this development. This made the party submitted Dr Dele Ajadi as the tentative gubernatorial candidate of the party.

At today’s meeting, a communique was signed by the 13 aspirants which states that in few days, they will come out with the flagbearer of the party for the 2019 general elections.
The aspirants are Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan, Senator Gbenga Babalola, Dr. Yunus Abiodun Akintunde, Alhaji Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Senator Solagbade Olufemi Lanlehin, Mr. Ayodele Adigun.
Others are Engr. Aderemi Oseni, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Mr. Ayo Opatoki, Dr. Muhammed Kola Balogun, Chief Lowo Obisesan and Hon. Festus Adegoke.
