Following the retirement of Mrs Felicia Foluke Oyediran, Mrs Oludara Yetunde Awe has been appointed as the new clerk of the Oyo State House of Assembly, insideoyo.com reports.
Awe was sworn in by the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin during the plenary on Tuesday.
Awe, before her appointment was the Deputy Clerk of the House.
During the swearing in, Speaker of the House, Rt. Adebo Ogundoyin said Mrs Awe’s appointment was in line with a recommendation from Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission.
Insideoyo.com recalls that Foluke is the first female clerk of the Oyo State House of Assembly.
In a related development, Barr. Mrs T. A. Muraina-Akinola has been appointed as the Deputy Clerk of the Assembly.
Before her appointment, Muraina-Akinola was the Director of Legal. Her appointment was announced by the speaker following a recommendation by the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission.
