Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has nominated a 27-year-old OAU graduate, Seun Fakorede, also known as Phakoo, as a Commissioner in the state.
Fakorede’s name was among the list of three new Commissioner-nominees sent to Oyo state House of Assembly for confirmation.
Sources at the Oyo House of Assembly confirmed the news to InsideOyo.com on Monday.
Fakorede who hails from Ibarapa finished from the Department of Civil Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU in 2016.
If ratified, Seun Fakorede will make history as one of the youngest commissioners in Nigeria.
Insideoyo.com recalls that Dapo Lam Adesina was also appointed Comissioner at the age of 33 in Oyo state. Fako is still within his late 20s.
While in Ife, Fakorede contested as the Students’ Union President and lost the election to Tayo Akande popularly known as TY.
