Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, Friday, sworn in two nominees who were declared ‘unappointable’ by members of the State Assembly, as caretaker committee chairmen of their respective council areas.
InsideOyo had reported how the disqualified persons – Adeleke Taiwo (Asabari LCDA) and Muda Agbaje (Irepo LG) performed below expectation and their eventual disqualification by the house committee on local government and chieftaincy matters, Hon. Bolaji Badmos.
Unlike before, the inauguration was hurriedly done around 9 am, without fanfare, to allow those coming from far distance to celebrate with the appointees.
It was learnt that information to that effect was circulated yesterday. Most of the new helmsmen slept in Ibadan, the state capital in order to be punctual.
