The First Lady of Oyo state, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on Sunday hosted children from across the state to an end-of-year Christmas party.
The party, held at the Agodi Gardens in Ibadan, was filled with fun activities, games, and gift items for the children.
While addressing the children, Mrs. Makinde described them as the leaders of tomorrow and emphasized the importance of instilling positive values such as honesty, kindness, and obedience.
She encouraged the children to take corrections from their parents, pray for their families, and show love to those around them.
In an interview with newsmen, Esomilor Precious expressed her excitement and gratitude.
She appreciated the First Lady and the governor for organizing the event and prayed for their continued success.
Parents at the event commended Mrs. Makinde for her thoughtful gesture and praised the organizers for putting together a memorable program for the children.
Notable dignitaries in attendance included the Commissioner for Health in Oyo State, Mrs. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, wives of local government chairmen across the state, and other prominent personalities.
The event’s highlights included the distribution of gifts by Santa Claus, games, and a dancing competition, which brought excitement and fun to the children.
