Stakeholders in Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State recently celebrated the birthday of Asiwaju Farinto, a former Council Chairman, Lawmaker, and Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Oyo State.
The event, held on April 3, 2025, at the Legislative Chamber, Iwajowa Local Government Secretariat in Iwere-Ile, drew traditional rulers and notable figures.
In his speech, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saliu Oyemonla Azeez, Sabiganna of Iganna and Chairman of the Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs, Iwajowa Local Government, eulogized Farinto.
He described Farinto as an Enigmatic, quintessential, impactful, dogged fighter, a grassroots per excellence and a Leader of Leaders in the Council area.
Oba Oyemonla narrated how Farinto has been supportive and contributing his quota to the development of Iwajowa local government, Okeogun, and Oyo State in general.
He charged the stakeholders in the council to emulate Farinto’s exemplary leadership and commitment to the community.

Also speaking, the Council Chairman, Honorable Oyewunmi Muritala Abiodun also sent gratitude to Asiwaju Farinto for being a true leader.
He acknowledged Farinto’s developmental ideas, which have been helpful and impactful to their administration.
He prayed for Farinto’s long life and appreciated the eminent personalities and Royal Fathers for gracing the event.
