The senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Barrister Bayo Lawal has described the suspension of the Ogbomoso North local government, Olamiju Akala as illegal.
Bayo Lawal who spoke on Parrot FM, a radio station in Ogbomoso on Thursday questioned the purported suspension saying it’s unconstitutional and illegal.
“It’s illegal to sack or suspend the chairman of Ogbomosho North local government. Everybody has the right to move from one political party to another” he said.
Recall that insideoyo.com had earlier reported the chairman of Ogbomoso North local government, Olamiju Akala was suspended over alleged anti party activities.
Olamiju Akala who dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for his father’s party, African Democratic Party (ADP) was suspended and his vice chairman, Mr Abass Bello was inaugurated on Wednesday by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon Bimbo Kolade.
A development which has been condemned by the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin and ADP, Otun Adebayo Alao Akala.
The Bamofin of Kisi also urged the good people of Oyo North senatorial district and Oyo state at large to come out on Saturday 23rd of February, to vote for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
