A chieftain of the All progressives Congress (APC) representing Ibadan North Federal constituency, Hon. Dada Awoleye on Wednesday debunked ongoing rumours that he has defected to the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC)
Oyo Insight, a new online medium had earlier reported on Wednesday that the lawmaker, Awoleye has registered as a member a of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC).
Awoleye was in the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2007 and 2011 on the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, (ANPP) is completing his second term in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
He is among those eyeing Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s seat under the ruling APC.
But when Insideoyo.com inquired further, the lawmaker denied the news report.
He said: “It is not true”, without providing further details.
Recently, politicians are cross carpeting ahead of the 2019 general elections. Some are looking for saving ground to return to their position while some are not comfortable with party status quo.
