Irawo Diaspora, a body of sons and daughters of Irawoland across the world has honored the Chairman of ATISBO local government, Alhaji Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade for his outstanding contributions to the development of Irawoland.
Alade who was invited as a special guest at the Irawo Day 2025 held at Lome, Togo.
Alade while speaking thanked the Irawo Diaspora for the honor bestowed on him while pledging to continue to ensure dividends of democracy get to Irawo and other towns, villages in ATISBO local government area.
He said the Irawo Diaspora has contributed immensely to the development of Irawoland. He added that the body just recently launched a place called Irawo Diaspora Estate in Irawoland for members in diaspora to come back home and build houses.
He used the opportunity to call on sons and daughters of other towns, villages in the diaspora to emulate the Irawo Diaspora by coming together and see to the development of their towns.
His words: “I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Irawo Diaspora for the honor they’ve bestowed upon me, and I pledge to continue working tirelessly to ensure the dividends of democracy reach every corner of our community.
“The Irawo Diaspora’s contributions to Irawoland’s development are truly inspiring, and I’m committed to supporting initiatives that benefit our town and the entire ATISBO local government area.
“I urge sons and daughters of other towns and villages in the diaspora to follow the Irawo Diaspora’s example by coming together to develop their communities – together, we can achieve greatness.
“The launch of the Irawo Diaspora Estate is a testament to the power of collective effort, and I’m honored to be part of this journey toward progress and development.”
On the entourage of the Chairman were the Executive Chairman of Itesiwaju LGA, Hon Monsuru Ojo, Chairman of Iwajowa LGA, Hon Muritala Abiodun Oyewunmi.
Also present were Chairman of Togo local government, Governor of Maritame Region, Republic of Togo, Charge De Affairs of Nigerian Embassy in the Republic of Togo, the Chairman of Nigerian community in Togo, among others.
