As the move to find solutions to the security challenges in the local government area continues, the Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area, hon Lawal Lateef Akorede on Thursday met with traditional rulers, security agencies, religious leaders and other relevant stakeholders.
The meeting which was held at the premises of the local government secretariat had in attendance representatives of Military, Police, NSCDC, Immigration and others.
According to a statement from the office of the chairman which was made available to newsmen, security agencies were urged to synergies and residents were urged to endeavor to always supply reliable information to the security agencies.
It was observed that drug addictions by the youth contributed immensely to the security challenge. Hence, ways and how to curb were identified, discussed and solutions were suggested.
Security agencies with Dane guns were advised to avoid shooting indiscriminately in the community.
Residents were also urged to work on their wards/children to desist from bad behaviors and the destruction of community properties while urging the people to stop sabotaging the efforts of community leaders and security agencies.
